Sector AnalysisThe market closed today with the BANKING sector still on its position as the highest traded stock covering 56.6 percent of the total turnover, having 2,578 trades and a volume of 114,207,892 valued at N997,233,198.05. The INSURANCE sector came next on the list with 22.4 percent of the total turnover; 45,108,144 volume and N29,823,493.53 value in 267 deals. The FOOD/BEVERAGES sector followed with 3.7 percent of the total turnover, recording a volume of 7,529,030 valued at N148,170,322.78 in 445 deals. See chart................. |
Gainers & LosersTrading activities today ended with WAPCO being the highest gainer with an increase of N2.24. UACN was next as it gained N1.25, CAP also increased by N1.33 followed by UAC-PROP with an increase of N0.86. While on the Losers table GUINNESS lost N4.00 and emerged as today`s worst loser. CCNN was also on the downward side it lost N0.30 today to close at N10.50. COSTAIN lost N0.22. while GLAXOSMITH moved down by N0.20 see table |
